Duck Hunting Duck hunting is excellent into the fall when weather permits. Then I move to southeastern Colorado and hunt  private land for both Duck and Pheasant. Some excellent walk in access to private land and we have been very successful when snow is in the high country, and game moves south. Very inexpensive access fees apply for private land. (call for info) Grouse Hunting Grouse are plentiful in the high country by the cabin. During deer and elk season this is an added bonus along with the Trout fishing if time permits. These are high country spruce grouse, and live from 9-11 thousand feet in  elevation. (bring your shotgun) Trout Fishing Outstanding numbers and quality of Rainbow, and Cutthroat trout in near by lake. High altitude cold water lake produces some good size and healthy trout. Stream fishing is a few miles from the cabin, and in some pristine settings along the Dolores and the West Fork of the Dolores river. Both excellent fly fishing opportunity, and also good with spinning tackle. Great tasting trout. ALL FISHING EQUIPMENT AND BOAT IS  PROVIDED!
